Our history
A story of passion and transmission
At Domaine Castellu di Baricci, the essence of Corsica is revealed in the history of a family dedicated to the land and its traditions, of which Elisabeth Quilichini represents the 9th generation.
Viticulture, the estate's main activity, reflects generations of know-how and passion, passed down with love and dedication. Each bottle of wine is a tribute to this family tradition.
The family heritage extends beyond the vines. The old buildings, witnesses to the history and evolution of the estate, have been carefully renovated into charming houses. These residences, available for rental, allow visitors to immerse themselves in the unique atmosphere of the estate, a blend of rusticity and modern comfort, creating an authentically Corsican experience.
Olive oil production is another facet of the estate's commitment to diversity and quality. It completes the Castellu di Baricci experience, bringing a touch of variety to the estate's offering, while remaining faithful to the spirit of family tradition.
Castellu di Baricci is more than a winery; it is the heart of a story of family, of transmission, and of passion for the Corsican land. It is an invitation to discover and share the heritage and soul of a family deeply rooted in its land.
Our engagements
Respect for nature
Nature is our heritage. Their respect is our priority! From the vineyard to the olive grove, we produce in strict compliance with AOP and organic farming criteria.
Quality
Cradle of noble products, the Castellu di Baricci estate is committed to offering the best that Corsica has to offer: from the vines, to the olive trees and the tourist welcome.
Tradition
We work all our products by hand, as our ancestors did, respecting traditions and perpetuating know-how.
Identify
Our wines are made from Corsican and southern grape varieties: vermentinu, sciacarellu, niellucciu, grenache, minustellu and genovese. The olive trees also come from local varieties, zinzala and ghjermana.
